Words & Pix: Christmas 2006 It's Christmas Time at Fairmount, and we've been busy! Our carolers braved the cold to visit a few homes in the neighborhood Friday night. Sunday service opens with a Christmas Gift to the church! New members -- the Yugnclas's -- formally join the congregation, in a brief ceremony.

In front of the manger scene, Pastor Mike shares Christmas gifts with the kids, who then share with us all.

Mother and daughter Goering, join piano and clarinet for soft, warm, gentle Christmas music, above the Advent candles.

Friends -- old and new -- gather and visit after service.

Everyone gathers for "eat and greet" snacking and chatting afterwards. Our "resident" chef, Yousef, encourages people to sample all his offerings, while volunteer hostess Sherry, at the other end of the serving table, watches over the plenty she has provided -- ensuring platters and pitchers are full, and no one goes without.
